Wedding guest photo upload, from the guest's side

You've set up the gallery. Now, what does uploading actually look like for your guests, and what do you tell the cousin whose video won't send? Here's the guest's-eye view.

Short answerGuests scan the QR code on the table, the gallery opens in their phone browser, they type a name (or stay anonymous) and tap to add photos and videos. No app, no account. If something goes wrong, it's almost always a QR code that's too small, a big video on weak signal, or a page closed too early.

What guests see, step by step

  1. Scan: they open the camera app and point it at the card. A link appears; they tap it.
  2. Your gallery opens in their browser, with your names and the photos shared so far.
  3. Name: they type their name, or stay anonymous.
  4. Add: they tap "Add photos & videos" and pick from the camera roll, or take something new.
  5. Upload: a progress bar shows each file. Photos take seconds; videos take longer.
  6. Done: their photos join the album, straight away or after your approval if review mode is on.

It works the same on iPhone and Android, in Safari, Chrome or the phone's own browser.

Tips that get more uploads

Uploading after the wedding

Many of the best photos arrive the day after, when guests scroll through their camera roll on the train home. The same link keeps working, and when photos carry a capture time, FrameAmour still files them under the right part of the day, so a dance-floor video uploaded a week later lands in the Party album.

Questions couples ask

How do wedding guests upload photos?

They scan the QR code with their phone camera, the gallery opens in their browser, and they tap to add photos and videos from their camera roll. No app or account is needed.

Can guests upload photos after the wedding?

Yes. The same link keeps working, so guests can add photos the next day or weeks later, until three calendar months after the wedding unless the couple closes uploads sooner. Viewing and downloads stay available for 12 months after the wedding.

Why won't the QR code scan?

Usually the card is too small, glossy under dim light, or the phone camera isn't set to read QR codes. Move closer, tilt the card away from the light, or open the gallery link the couple shared in the group chat.

Why is a video taking so long to upload?

Phone videos are large, especially in 4K. Keep the page open, connect to Wi-Fi if you can, or upload it later at home from the same link.

Will guests see each other's photos?

Yes, unless the couple turns on review mode, in which case new uploads appear for everyone once the couple approves them.
